When I first started out, I had no idea what I was doing.

I struggled to even thread my machine and I was totally overwhelmed by all the terms and techniques I was reading...

I spend hours watching Youtube videos and endlessly scrolled Pinterest every time I got stuck…

Then I would just shove my sewing machine back in a closet and eventually toss the project I had been working on because I either couldn't figure it out or had messed it up beyond repair.

I would feel SO overwhelmed and discouraged and often thought to myself "Why am I not able to sew the things I envision my kids wearing? I see other moms online who sew! Am I just not crafty or creative enough?"

That's why I decided to completely immerse myself in learning everything I could about sewing.

I spent hundreds of hours watching every video under the sun and reading a gazillion blog posts (this was 2010, remember 😉).

 

Finally I started to get good at sewing and my friends and family just assumed that I made whatever my kids were wearing. 

Now I can sew anything. I want matching bathing suits for the whole family? I sew it. 

 

My son wants to be a Beluga whale for halloween? Boom...costume is made. 

 

I see an adorable dress on Jamie Kay's website that I love? You better believe I'm making my own version for 1/4 of the cost. 

And let me tell you, after struggling for so many years...

Make no mistake, I took the long road. It took me years to figure out what my students learn in just a few weeks.

I made a ton of costly mistakes and spent a lot of money to figure this out along the way.

Now, my mission is to help moms just like you learn to sew without wasting time and money like I did. Because we're moms, and we do NOT have time to waste.

I love this course because of how you have broken things down into manageable chunks! It doesn't overwhelm my mom brain and actually makes sense to me.
