Natalie's handmade clothes went from "homemade" to polished
"My sewing before joining The Sewing Society was very clearly homemade, and now it feels more and more polished and handmade. It's a small but important distinction for me, and I find I am more confident in wearing things I make or gifting them to loved ones.

Since joining The Sewing Society I finally feel confident in my ability to read a pattern, learn and apply new skills, and make something high-quality that is built to last."

Mikaela's sewing dreams are coming true
"The Sewing Society has been so helpful in laying the foundation of knowledge in sewing to give me the confidence to make things I've been dreaming about for years.

The step by steps and thorough explanations are so helpful and I've been able to make things for my family and friends that wouldn't have been possible a few years ago.

I'm currently sewing PJs for my whole family (which is my biggest project yet) and I'm excited to say that it is going so well! That's in large part due to all the knowledge that Amelia has shared in The Sewing Society!"

       -Mikaela Dursma
Samantha's sewing dreams became a reality in a few lessons
"In all of my adult life I've wanted to learn sewing, but never did I image I'd go from dust on my sewing machine to making my own clothes in a few lessons.

Not only is Amelia an amazing teacher, her relatability is what made me confident in pushing through to learn. Having this community of like-minded sewists has meant the world and kept me motivated to push myself to do even more!"

Andrea doesn't rely on the internet anymore
"Before joining the Sewing Society, I relied on the internet to find answers to my questions, but the information was often too generic and didn't meet my specific needs.

My favorite part of the Sewing Society is the sense of camaraderie—we're all on this journey together. It creates a supportive environment where there's no pressure to start or finish a project, yet it still provides the accountability I personally need.

It has also expanded my skills by encouraging me to work on projects I might not have chosen on my own, introducing me to new techniques that I can apply to my own creations. As a result, I feel much more comfortable and confident in my sewing abilities, and I'm excited to continue growing and learning even more."

-Andrea

Cathie believes in herself and her skills now
"The Sewing Society has given me confidence. I've seen my skills improve as I follow Amelia's lessons. I'm able to sew things I never imagined.

I'm not afraid to make mistakes. I know there is a whole community ready to support and help me. Now when I see things, I think oh I can make that!"

Cathie Weaver
Viktoriya now has a community and place to get her questions answered
"The Sewing Society has been an amazing way to continue building my skills and confidence. Im always looking forward to new projects and interacting with the community. All levels of sewing are very welcome!

After joining the sewing society I finally feel ready to tackle other projects on my own! I can look at patterns and think.... I can do that! I just learned something similar in our sew alongs!

When I wanted to learn sewing I had no idea where to start. Cue the Instagram algorithm that brought MSB to me! But really, it has been really reassuring knowing there were others out there wanting to earn to sew. I feel less alone in my struggles and triumphs because I have a solid community I am apart of.

Not only are Amelia and Katie always there to answer questions, there is always someone there to encourage you or hold your hand through troubleshooting problems.

- Viktoriya Herbert

From quilts to clothes
"I have only been in The Sewing Society a short time but | have gained confidence in reading patterns and cutting material.

I have quilted for years and have always wanted to learn to sew garments. This group is a great way to stay accountable for each month's project as well as a place to ask questions and get encouragement. With each project completed, I can't wait to start the next!"

- Jennifer Bathurst
In just a few months Alexis already feels like a completely different sewist
"I have only been a member of the sewing society for a few months but it has already been so fun and helpful.

I appreciate the skills library so I can use it even for projects outside the ones in the group. The sew alongs have taught me lots of new skills already and as someone newer to sewing, it's a big confidence boost to try new or harder things!"

- Alexis Nightingale
I'm Amelia, and I used to be embarrassed by the clothes I sewed.
I used to worry that people could tell I made my clothes because they looked "homemade."

I knew how to sew, but something always felt off — my finished pieces never fit how I wanted them to and they looked like they were made by a 10 year old.

I kept at it, kept learning, kept asking questions, and slowly everything started to click. I learned the hard way though, and I don't want that for you!

Now when someone asks if I made something I'm wearing, I'm proud to say YES. The clothes I make for myself and my family are so well-crafted that people are blown away when they find out I sewed them myself.

I created The Sewing Society because I know exactly where you are right now, and I know exactly how to help you get where you want to be. I'm so excited to teach you how to create clothes that fit perfectly, look amazing, and make you proud every single time you wear them.

Frequently Asked
Questions
Do I need to have sewing experience to join the membership?
The Sewing Society is designed for women who already know the basics, like how to thread their machine and sew a straight seam. If you're anywhere in between excited beginner and advanced, you'll fit right in! There's always something new to learn no matter where you're starting from.
Will I get access to past month's sew alongs and tutorials?
Yep! When you join you will get access to the entire library of sew-alongs and lessons. Each month there will be new content added, so the library will always be growing!
What if I want to cancel?
If you ever want to cancel you can at any time!
Are the patterns included?
Almost always, YES! I work closely with many pattern designers to bring you patterns free of charge. You have all month to download your pattern, then it's yours to keep forever!
Occasionally you will have to purchase a pattern, but I am almost always able to get you a discount code!
What happens to my Serger School access if I cancel?
Monthly members have access to Serger School for as long as their membership is active. Annual members keep lifetime access to Serger School even if they cancel down the road.
Are all the previous sew along patterns free?
No, you will be able to watch all the past sew alongs, but the patterns are only free during the current sew along.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
You can upgrade or downgrade to a different paymet plan at any time! When you upgrade it will be at the rates listed when you joined.
